Of course, when reading this band name one thinks inevitably of the milestone of Death Angel, Thrash Metal, Bay Area and so on. That ULTRA-VIOLENCE are based in Turin/Italy, I didn’t expect while first listening. I would also not expect that all of 1994-born could keep the energy at same high level as the opener Burning Through The Scars is the entire disc. Most of the bands like that suck after a few tones, ULTRA-VIOLENCE keep the suspense on Deflect The Flow inspired with their Bay Area (obvious) Thrash at a high level. Here and there I am missing a few rough corners and sharp edges. This is particularly evident in Venom's Cover Don’t Burn The Witch. The modern Thrash given by Deflect The Flow is a bit too tamed for such a rumbling milestone. This unsuccessful attempt shouldn’t hide the fact that ULTRA-VIOLENCE control the accelerator at will, shine with inventiveness and witty playfulness (Why So Serious?) as they can place fine hooklines (Fractal Dimension = check-out tip). With tracks around the 6-minute stump-is-trump must not really govern - the 1:07 minutes short instrumental A Second Birth excepted. After publishing the Wildcrash EP in 2012 followed by the debut album Privilege To Overcome in 2013 Deflect The flow is thus a milestone in the official written band history since 2009.
