AAARRRGGGH! My cocks! This hurts! Now I know the reason I turned more into Death Metal back in the end of 1980s. These extreme high-pitched vocals of TWISTED TOWER DIRE vocalist Tony Taylor rape my mind already during the second song of the new album Netherworlds which is entitled Dire Wolf. I mean the fourth long-player of these True Metal Americans starts okay with the opener Starshine. But with progressive running time the vocals really suck. Okay, the musicians can play their instruments good. Without a question. Unfortunately all the riffs and arrangements have been done ten thousand times back in 1980s until puking. Killing Kind is a good example. Typical heavy metal riffing without any innovation. Maybe because of that reason the vocals have been pitched so high, otherwise the music would pass by. The title-track Netherworlds is running and I can report honestly that I got headache right now. But watch out! Casualty Of Cruel Times starts really slow, before midtempo on deepest average and these terrible high vocals destroy everything again. And this song contains a very boring refrain as well. Damn it, this number started up very nice. Netherworlds has two serious errors. It makes nervous because of these high-pitched vocals and it bores to death because of this weak songwriting. AAARRRGGGH! My cocks! My ears! My head!
