Ten years have the German deather of TOMBTHROAT meanwhile on the embossment. And up to their newest album I did not have this volume ever belonged. And if I listen to Bloodred Victory, I can come only to the conclusion that I did not miss much in the past ten years also. Death Metal with a prize Grindcore is served to the listener. Whereby volume like for example Blood substantially better control this mixture than TOMBTHROAT. Above all the singing of the front man does not please me at all. Probably I am purist, which concerns also simply too much extreme metal. Because each quantity of pentagrams in the booklet suggests satanic volume, while the musicians look rather like the members hard core guys. Is this mixture to assure to whom? That applies also to the music. If times a good Death Metal riff rings out, it is always replaced immediately from a completely uninspired Grindcore riff. It really does wrong to me. The production of the record is okay. But the songs sounds not developed to me somehow enough. One could still tolerate the striking lack in the songwriting with beginner bands. At a troop such as TOMBTHROAT, which already celebrates its ten-year existence, I expect however simply more!
