After the symphonic and borne introduction R.A.M., the build-up of Enter The Asylum shows up in very conventional way: memorable guitar motives, mid-paced galloping rhythms, parts to bang your head, an unloading playful solo, strong vocals, whereby singer Genevieve is supported by dark growls. Interim, the quintet augments in speed in course of the cumbersome piece Mind Games, including an ample instrumental passage. Marching measures and a spoken words’ part contribute to a theatrical aura in course of the epic tune Break The Skin, the high vocals are a little bit enervating, against what I get grabbed by the throat through the thrashy striding song Darkness Falling. In addition, I appreciate the battlesome and stoic stomping composition Too Deep, which abstains from vocals and convinces in variable manner nevertheless. The mystical track Empty Room increases visibly, but I miss a first-class refrain preventing a direct hit. TEMTRIS offer conveniently flowing melodies and chords again and again, so that I teeter with sometimes, however I wait for detonating and convincing choruses. This album is entertaining due to the use of a broad speed range, including the dramatic ballad Lament to form a natural contrast to faster tunes like the punch line Phoenix.
Enter The Asylum provides a nicely balanced, down-to-earth Heavy Metal with many guitar solos, which effuses good temper!
