GREED - Post / Human EP

self-financed

Release: September 2001

By: Psycho

There is something new from the house of GREED, although the available EP isn't that fresh anymore. But it's more because the CD got neglected between my job and my homely desktop chaos *ashamed*. Ok, let's slur over this painful point fast and let's talk about the music. And there are some changes to announce. This, compared to their last output Fractured, GREED became significantly heavier and more gloomy, which I like of course as a matter of principle.

But unfortunately I can't report only good things about it. It seems that the guys also lost a bit of their creativity and autonomy. Know This sounds suspiciously like a mix of A Thousand Lies and None But My Own by Machine Head. And a few riffs on Can I Die Now are also very known to me, even if I can't remember the source at the moment. Added to it is Prodigy's smash hit Breathe as a cover version, which got realized very well, but I don't like it though. Because I like the original harsh languishment which drops out when you play this song faster.

But in general I have to say that GREED almost advance in Hardcore fields so much they increased their brutality and aggressiveness. The icing on the cake is the production, which simply blows everything away! There you can see over a pinched riff! Charisma and professionalism just tuned up! It should be just a matter of time until you can purchase a GREED CD in the record store of your trust. Fortunately the singer problem got solved too, it can be heard that shouter Dave returned into the lap of the band. Ok, all traffic lights are set to green!
