I'm not quite sure what to think about DYSANCHELY. On the one hand the four Czech guys offer a solid melodic Death album but on the other hand Finland's Mors Principium Est have just blown me away with their debut effort, whereas Secrets Of The Sun is still some steps away from the same quality. Anyway, also DYSANCHELY sound interesting, combining melodic Black/Death with Heavy Metal-influences. Especially the opener Lullaby waits on with good riffing and shows that from countries usually not connected with metal hopeful combos may emerge by all means. Although you have to get into DYSANCHELY's sound I would not say the production is bad. Also the following About Man And Evil offers cool melodies and partakes of something. The longer you listen to Secrets Of The Sun the more the material starts to drift into Swedish-like Black/Death which reminds me, like in Lost In Beauty, of blanched Gates Of Ishtar, but suits DYSANCHELY quite good. Unfortunately the Czechs don't manage working out terse refrains not to mention building up a certain recognition-factor, that's why the four guys surely keep up international competition regarding their technical skill but still lack in their songwriting abilities. Furthermore really annoying in particular is the far too loud voice of the singer and his excessive use of delay-effect, which is the weakest point on Secrets Of The Sun for me. And in DYSANCHELY's case I would also have left out the guest-appearances which deface the track Song Of Sorrow more than enriching it.
Without doubt, DYSANCHELY have potential, but it still has to be used the right way!
