DE/VISION are one of the best synthie bands in Germany for more than 15 years now. 1,5 years after Devolution the duo presents its new album Six Feet Underground. You won't hear anything of the guitar sounds of the latest releases, this is pure electronic music on a really high level. Six Feet
Underground
has everything a good album needs: quiet and fast songs, beautiful melodies, a lot of different sounds an some surprises. The album starts with the quiet I'm Not Enough, which lives most of all of the warm voice of singer Steffen. The next song I’m Not Dreaming Of You is one the hits of the CD - the song really is a catchy tune with a great refrain and an extraordinary piano. The faster Take Me Over would perfectly fit on the dancefloors, and the spacy and really rhythmic Right On Time could be a song of Covenant. DE/VISION have some more new elements in their music: Right On Time also has some breakbeat elements. The best song for me is the really dark, really empathic and really beautiful Six Feet Underground - great to listen to the voice of Steffen! This is a fully developed album, really melancholic and warm. DE/VISION won't go six feet underground with that, but really on the other side - above!
