A god from a machine. Spontaneously I would think of an industrial-project. But that’s far from the truth. Here we have 5 guys from Hannover, Germany, playing melodic Death Metal in the veins of Dark Tranquillity or other bands from the Gothenburg scene. Beginning with Plague Called Fear this EP leads us through five well performed songs. Nice riff work, some freak outs on guitar and the high, black metal like voice of vocalist Kai. With the title-track the connection to the already mentioned Swedish guys becomes obvious. This calm track reminds me again of DT. With Better Off Dead the speed gets accelerated again and the guitarists show their credibility. But especially on this track, the weak point of the EP gets clear. The sound is too weak and could have managed with a good deal of „Bäm“. If you know what I mean. But it is only a demo and so this should not be taken too seriously. The next song Down starts with acoustic guitars and knows how to impress a careful listener. With adding clean vocals a new element comes into the music. So let’s hope the guys will not loose their humanity. This will surely not happen with the final song Way Of Life. This song will probably be one of the live highlights. The main riff invites to bang your head and to have fun. So, if you, dear reader, are interested, check out myspace where you can buy this CD. If you don’t wanna waste 21 minutes to check the whole CD, take Black Sun that's the song I recommend.
