Some months after the great Neurasthenia demo, the next seeds are coming up from the Italian Thrash Metal – underground. But DEATH MECHANISM are quite a bit more brutal. Stylistically, they are somewhere between their fellow countrymen Necrodeath and early Sadus and Slayer. Maybe the songs are not as good as those of the bands mentioned, but at least DEATH MECHANISM easily reach the speed of their idols. The trio that was founded only three years ago and since then already shared stage with Aura Noir, Assassin, Agent Steel and Sadus, leaves absolutely no rest to the listener. You even hardly find any mid-tempo parts. Because of that the record is a bit monotonous in a certain way, but high-speed-thrash-freaks should not be too irritated by that. If something needs to be criticized, it's the fact that most riffs are not exactly original and the solos of Pozza (v,g) are too short and worn-out. On the other hand, there are Pozza's extreme vocals that justify the comparison with Necrodeath and (very) early Sadus even more.
I don't understand why the punky anthem Slaughter In The Jet Set is the last song on the album and not one of the first ones. Apart from that, there's enough said now. They call themselves “pure fucking Thrash Metal” and that's it!
