”A special
fuck to the pissers in the Mainstream.” This special greeting
was written in BURNING BUTTHAIRS inlay of their
newest output Impulse To Exhume. And yes, they really don’t
give a shit. Examples needed? The four guys from Erfurt/Germany
replace the bass by a second guitar, come up with a straight bloody
and purulent splatter artwork, riffing their stuff several times
like old school Carcass in Reek Of Putrefaction style and call
themselves BURNING BUTTHAIRS. Okay, I was skeptic
while holding Impulse To Exhume in my
hands and listening to the intro… but then… The opener
The Homicide starts with guitars like saws before propulsive
sticks are bashing the drums which herald the first gurgle. Following
this is a diversified Grindcore like early Carcass/Haemorrhage.
It’s not the speed of this song; it’s the variety
which makes The Homicide to your nightmare. Blastbeats
changes into pounding rhythms, some phat slow parts get blend
in and above this all Human Butchers’ growls and gurgles.
All goregrind elements are combined with a hint of Death Metal.
This makes fun! BURNING BUTTHAIRS practice this
concept till the very end, till the last song Gory Rot.
Those who want to go back to the old school Carcass era, join
the title track Impulse To Exhume. It’s not only
the title that reminds of Exhume To Consume. Awesome!
Guys, in 6
years of rotting and ripping you are far away from the mainstream.
I am anxious to listen to your sound if you find the right bass-player!
