For half an eternity the indestructible ASMODEUS are already cavorting in the underground and they will stay there with their work Adamant - and that's a good thing, because the music doesn't blandish itself but stands for angry, but also melodic, furious Black Metal.
A lovingly designed, embossed wooden box gives hope that the music will be able to fulfil the optically stirred up expectations and after a gloomy introduction the quartet blows off in a charming, familiar manner as if there was no tomorrow. Stomping beats and accentuated rhythms break through the inferno in time and provide food for the groove-steered headbanger's neck. The slightly hymnic echoes and the fundamentally more relaxed flair of Disorder In Balance, which unfortunately fades out unspectacularly when it just seems to become really interesting, fit very well. The unluckily titled Inquisition Feuersturm convinces with finely set breaks and cool grooves and also A Forsaken Enchantment earns plus points with its black'n'roll attitude, marching rhythms and melodic leads. This song also contains the absolute peak of Adamant with the brilliant final part - it's a real blast! Conspiracy Unleashed works great when played live in front of a crowd and a song called An Ode In Bitterness CANNOT be bad, can it? Deadly sluggish and melodic, this epic composition doesn't miss its effect, but unfortunately goes into the eternal hunting grounds a bit uninspired too fast.
ASMODEUS can perform rapidly, but don't let this stylistic device degenerate to an end in itself. The band has learned that continuous blowing is tiring and uses speed attacks in a more differentiated and precise way, but in between there is a lot of variety. On their old days ASMODEUS present themselves surprisingly strong!
