Seven musical visions are poured into epic sound forms on the third album by ANOMALIE. A mixture of homely acoustics and spherical songs, which flow smoothly in moderate Black Metal including a desperate voice, is offered. A wonderfully sacred, mystical-sublime mood sometimes adds to a relaxed atmosphere, but ANOMALIE does not forget the hard, metallic part, which is not chaotic, but characterized by intelligently applied dynamics. The melodies are not striking and sweet, but pull their way unobtrusively in the background. You will not find catchy choruses or short hits in this work, because the partly dark-powerful, then again thoughtful atmosphere stands in the foreground. Mechanical ambience sounds are used in the appropriately titled Vision III: A Monument, before doomy sequences are mixed with choirs and a dark sounding basis is built. Wonderful acoustic guitars control harmonious parts, but they are suddenly crushed by angry aggression. Middle-fast groovy rhythms complete the dynamically undulating, versatile overall work, which is by no means suitable for mere sprinkling in the background, if it wants to be fully grasped in its richness.
Very well succeeds the fusion of pearling guitar parts and a more violent, blast-beat-dominated sound layer in the 4th part Illumination, before a beautiful piano melody enthuses the listeners`ears in the final part .
Different tempos and mood colors are mingled felicitously, so that in the end a coherent, touching yet sublimely angry, sometimes abruptly aggressive album cares for over 50 minutes of emotional, deep entertainment. The balance between camp fire romance and desperate outbursts succeeds wonderfully and convinces both the harmony adept and the friend of well-dosed musical rage.
