After Sarah Jezebel Deva has left Therion and Mortiis due lacking of time and focusing on her background singing in Cradle Of Filth she lag behind her 4 octave prowess. But anytime anywhere on tour she met Chris Rehn (Abyssos), perceiving that there are same interests in music. Added by Chris’ brother Tommy Rehn (Moahni Moahna) they soon realized their musical visions in ANGTORIA. This 5 track piece now is an unofficial release, made to shop for a label deal.
Shared musical passion gets displayed in orchestral arrangements in the vein and atmospheric spirit of movie film score music, obviously built up on a metal matrix.
Six Feet Under’s Not Deep Enough, Suicide Of My Mind, A Child That Walks In The Path Of A Man and the grandiose Deity Of Disgust are stunning and stirring songs remaining me somewhat of Shirley Bassey and James Bond movie scores, whereas the latter one gets enhanced with guest vocals by Martin Häggström and some oriental splashes, bringing out the score character.
Surprise, Confide In Me is a song once made for Kylie Minogue, performed in a new and amazing interpretation.
ANGTORIA deliver an impressing and promising demo CD. Orchestral arrangements got professionally staged and harmonize perfectly with the metal direction, all the stylistically different influences you might have in a soundtrack and Sarah’s deep voice. I guess credits go to Tommy Rehn, since he has worked and composed music for musicals and theatre over the last years. Something great is coming up here! Hope to hear from you soon, guys. I so love this CD!
