ANDEM play bombastic Power Metal and there is an obvious semblance to bands like Nightwish or After Forever caused by female singer Yuliana. In addition, the arrangements show the direction to a certain target group, namely all those music listeners, who like slightly kitschy, orchestral Metal/Rock with gothic elements.

The use of the Russian language is a brownie point; the sound of the CD is a negative aspect in contrary. An undifferentiated production dominates the joy in listening to the easy going compositions. Yuliana performs in powerful manner while singing in middle heights; in high pitches she shows a few problems. The music stays more down to earth and gallops in rapid style, then again in contained mid-tempo. We also can find a semi-ballad on this release, offered in fifth place with the finally guitar orientated track Righteous Men Of Light.
In all, the powerful speed parts win over in the end, ere a real kitschy song named Prayer is performed with pathetic guitars and choral chants. The following tune Goths Assault Rome fortunately offers faster opera-like material, ere the instrumental Songs Of Sand-Storms marks a little too unspectacular punch line.

ANDEM delivered a felicitous work, but they stay too average to surprise. The refrains are easy-going, the guitar work competent, so that friends of speedy Power Metal including opera vocals can listen to this album without regretting it, whereby I have to mention the powerless sound anew.
