Evoking
The Abomination already has seen a few seasons since it
came over the big pot recently. Because the album got released
in 2001 via Listenable Records for the European distro. So I guess
"die hard" hardcore deathers already know this killer piece.
After only two demo releases the Brazilian mates ABHORRENCE
unleash their debut, in which they follow abundantly clear
the footsteps of their country mates Krisiun, who have pioneered
this style among others, apart from some varied Morbid Angel influences.
In just an half hour ABHORRENCE are sweeping off with a
roll of ultra brutal, hellish fast and all destroying Death Metal
over everything and everyone. Only scorched earth left.
But not, that you could call ABHORRENCE cheap copycats
of Krisiun, no way! The guys master their profession, hit the
spot with their riffs and set breaks as well as solos skilfully.
If you placed both bands next to each other live on stage, you
truly wouldn't notice much differences. Neither in a technical
nor in a lyrical way. And exactly that is the biggest flaw of
the band. Because bands like Morbid Angel and Krisiun are still
existing (for ages). So why to be content with a ( admittedly
excellent) copy when you can get the originals?
But with its own unique style, ABHORRENCE could grow to
a big chunk in the scene. Consequently, this album is just for
above mentioned fans who still can't get enough of this … then
it kills though! ;-)
