Without the PARTY SAN METAL OPEN AIR life has no meaning!
[Dajana] Yeah, the PARTY SAN METAL OPEN AIR 2025 is in the books :)
And I would say that this year was particularly relaxed. One of the reasons was our fantastic camp. We're such a great bunch of people! I love you all ♥♥♥
The billing was also great and built up in a way that I didn't want to miss a single band, either, because I knew it would be great or because I was curious and wanted to be surprised. Of course, there were also bands that didn't live up to expectations, well... And then there was TIAMAT. Total failure would be the wrong term – I still have no idea what to make of this show...
Once again, due to time constraints, I also largely skipped the bands in the tent. In addition to the aforementioned NAPALM DEATH, ROTTING CHRIST, and the great DOOL, I also really enjoyed IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, EXTERMINATION DISMEMBERMENT, NECROWRETCH, NIGHTBEARER, CRYPT SERMON, I AM MORBID, and HELLBUTCHER.
What can I say? I'm already looking forward to next year - the 30th anniversary of PARTY SAN METAL OPEN AIR! It's going to be a blast and definitely a big party! And the days off for this weekend are already booked!
[BRT] Once again this year, PARTY SAN METAL OPEN AIR has taught me that you can't do without it. Even in the days leading up to it, I always get excited and can hardly wait. Arriving on Wednesday is a good thing, even if it means one more day of waiting, but hey, the warm-up evening in the tent was also a great thing with lots of encounters, lots of laughter, and plenty of beer. Which, of course, carried over into the other days. A cool camp, a varied lineup, and great food - what more could you want? Despite all the thoughts of “you get old and two days are actually enough,” I have to strongly disagree with myself: “No, it's not enough.” I'm already looking forward to next year, no question!
Musical conclusion... Dajana and I agree on the top 3: DOOL, NAPALM DEATH, and ROTTING CHRIST were absolutely fantastic. Behind them, WAYFARER and CRYPT SERMON, but also I AM MORBID, HELLBUTCHER, and TRIPTYKON were very enjoyable. Memo to myself: spend more time in the tent next time!
[Moni] You really didn't promise too much. The PSOA is really well organized, has a cool venue, and is finally a festival where the beer is not only drinkable but also delicious. As a caffeine junkie, I thought the coffee bikes were fantastic, of course. In terms of food, I've rarely seen such a good selection - from vegan to home-style cooking, there's really everything.
Musically, it was also better than I expected - there were a few more bands where the singers actually sang, which I really enjoyed. DOOL, GRAND MAGUS, and NAPALM DEATH were some of the real musical highlights for me.
