Man, isn’t
that gorgeous?! At length again a Death Metal album that is wild
and brutal in a different way without exceptional playing merciless
blastbeat orgies. BA’AL stage their acts accompanied
by an intro and outro else wise. The tracks are played fast through
and through and glisten with cleverly arrangements and fluent
structures. The guys out of Erfurt (Germany) just know how to
set a tuneful course to the aggressiveness and how to deal with
the speed to keep the energy constantly high. By this BA’AL
fires out Death Metal clacker of the modern school one by one.
Very cool is the uncompromising oneness Confusion Of Tongues
is presented. The priorities set by BA’AL let each
song show up like all of a piece. It sounds skilful how the two
axemen egg each other on with their riffs. As variable the tracks
on the fourth release are played, as variable the growl-, yowl-
and roar-fronter Julian Fink runs the gamut’s rungs. Who
this five guys sound like? Bolt Thrower is mentioned in the press
flyer, but the mix of Amon Amarth and Bloodbath fits much better.
But damn sure Confusion Of Tongues sounds like the
Rape Of Harmonies studios. This seems to be a damn hot address
when one wants to carve his stuff in brute harmony. This stuff
should be joined by every Death Metal fan. And those who would
like to enjoy more BA’AL stuff can resort to the
back catalogue. Besides the two EP’s since 2002 the frist
full length release The Lilith Complex caused quite
a stir.
