| Yeahoo...
it’s wintertime and the Norwegian answer to Tom Waits, Nick
Cave or Black Heart Procession presents their debut Today
I Cannot Hear Music, which perfectly fits into a long
and dark evening with good friends and a large amount of alcohol.
Take a cauldron full of whisky and fill Punk, Rock, Klezmer, Polka
, Jazz and Folk into it. Brew hot. Sounds like chaos … but
it isn’t. Love songs, songs to get drunk and emotional songs
meld into a homogenous album. Unfortunately, the vocals are a little
too weak and not as intense as the music. Their Norwegian counterparts
Kaizers Orchestra or Madrugada, or American Botanica are much better
in this.
Because of this “only” 8,5 Points. Everyone who likes
mentioned bands should listen, sorry, HAVE to listen. Good album
… today I can hear music.
