Highspeed. Black Metal mixed with atmospheric parts and some keyboard gimmicks, most of the time in the background is offered by German one man project WINTERTHRONE. This CD is perfect for a long frosty evening in winter. The atmosphere created by the seven songs is ice-cold and lets the temperature fall further under zero degrees! The artist treats with feelings like hate, fury and desperation, the morbid prevailing mood is strengthened by the use of a drum machine, but the clangour and rattling gets on my nerves after a few minutes.

It was also difficult to listen to similar sounding Limbonic Art, a fan needed a long time to get in touch with the music before one could imagine the musical deepness and fascination. It could be the same with Against All Who Breathe, fans of the band mentioned above could discover an interesting album.

I am happy with songs like Loss which is quite sluggish in comparison to the other tracks and so I can partly enjoy WINTERTHRONE’s music. The target group are obviously the fans of Darkthrone and similar bands. All other listeners, who like to hear all instruments clearly should stay away from Against All Who Breathe!
