Sometimes the life of a reviewer can be very hard. For example I you should write a critic that could be finished with a sentence and you have to write a real article of it. This happens for example with WET ANIMAL and their self titled album. Not a second of this mishmash made of hard – and stoner – rock can convince. WET ANIMAL would like to be Aerosmith or Guns and Roses on LSD, but it suffices only for Tokyo Hotel (German “In” pop-rock-band) on caffeine. The Songs are a cheap average, boring and predictable. Altogether I search in vain for highlights, because I only find barrel burst. The production sounds a lot like the 80´s, and this is a question of taste. Unfortunately vocalist Shane Pasqualla was mixed very badly. I wonder how this album can be from Rick Wartell, founder of the stoner/doom institution Trouble.
