Risen
up from the ashes of Mood the debut album Slow But Not
Dead of Hungarian WALL OF SLEEP offer
flawless and straightforward doom metal combining Black Sabbath
from the 70’s with some Cathedral and the style of legendary
Maryland scene. Despite of classic, ultra heavy and slow lava-riffing
as in Soil and I Sleep the band knows how to groove
with such tracks as the opener Far Away From Sunrise, That’s
Why and The Very Same. That rocks and gets you headbanging!
Some great percussion elements on Ornaments Of Heaven and
acoustic parts on Inside Garden add variety enhancing this
promising work.
With Slow But Not Dead WALL OF
SLEEP deliver a great album lifting them up to be one of
hopefuls in the small but great doom community ;) |
