VISION DIVINE, founded by Olaf Thorsen (Labyrinth), with a short stop of Fabio Lione (Rhapsody; ex-Labyrinth) and already decorated with 4 albums, are back in the shops around the world. The 25th Hour is the name of the new opus from the land of pizza and Chianti. Why do I add this example? Because I can do it…no, because is suits. Complexity, variability but also the simple idea of a pizza perfectly suits the 11 tracks. Cheerful guitars and keys all around, sometimes fast, sometimes slow but always catchy. The only need is to listen to the title-track. The salami, ham and pepperoni of the guitars. The fluffy batter of the drums, combined with the (like always with good bass player) inconspicuous, but omnipresent tomato sauce of the bass, the cheese-blanket of the keys and a voice like oregano…OK, this one is crap. For fans of bands like Dream Theater or Queensryche are for sure nice artichokes to find on this record. But also the simple gourmets of finest true Metal can graze without problems. Stratovarius can be found in the music, as well as Labyrinth (of course) and - based on the vocals - Kamelot. What all of this got to do with Chianti? Well… both come from the Toscana. So, friends of Italian delicacy, as antipasti I recommend The 25th Hour. As soup Alpha & Omega. Main meal will be Eyes Of A Child and A Perfect Suicide and for dessert Ice cream. Enjoy your meal, your chief Zwiebel!
