On their demo CD Holiday In Amnesia German VODKA AND THE BLACKOUTS are playing four 77’s punk rock songs, straight and honestly, without any flourish. Two songs in English, two in German with good and unobtrusive choirs-like backing-vocals, inviting to bawl together. Catchy melodies to get stuck in my earpieces!
This demo CD is extremely well-done, showing the band enjoying what they do and remaining Punk to themselves, without any stereotype paroles and such stuff. Seems to be a friendly bunch of punkers. And they let me want me to see them performing live as soon as possible. After listening to Holiday In Amnesia I’m really longing for a live-gig of VODKA ND THE BLACKOUTS!
