Hey you, yes, YOU! You like Death Metal the old school way? Rotten and with a touch of Swedish graveyard soil? With plenty of swarm-like riffwork to bang your head off? And you have no objections to get the whole with a proper portion of blast beats? Okay, I think we have the perfect dish for you: TORTURE DIVISION!

The sound of ex-Grave, ex-Entombed squaller and four-stringer Jörgen Sandström thunders highly refreshing out of the speakers, offers the one or the other Thrash Metal riff and thus creates a much powerful and diversified record that cannot be labeled as typical Entombed/Dismember/Grave clone at no time. But its Swedish origin the trio will not deny, and why should they?
TORTURE DIVISION definitely have a more distinct note that most of current hip bands such as Entrails and Revolting (There’s nothing bad with them, don’t get me wrong, they are great but sound significantly closer to their idols than TORTURE DIVISION do.).
With Endless Wrath We Bring Upon Thee Our Infernal Torture compiles the first 3 demo releases (2008) plus the X-mas single to one piece of music, re-mastered by Dan Swanö.
TORTURE DIVISION kick ass and are a real pleasure to listen to, offer everything a good Death Metal band should do. So I gladly draw the 9 out of 10 card.
By the way: TORTURE DIVISION nonstop record demos and offer them as free downloads. It seems the guys do not plan a classic full-length next time. It’s a much likeable concept. So if you like this sound, go and by the compilation, buy t-shirts or donate some money – it gets directly re-invested in new releases, of course to be downloaded for free. You know what you have to do. Now!
Oh, and those demo releases can be downloaded from the band’s homepage.
