Something spacy comes again from the South. We surely are used to get something strange from Italy from time to time, but this time DeMo’N SiDe can even top a few releases. Already the name lets set up my hackles. Well, admittedly it is not that easy anymore to find a really good name which is not used so far, but TITTY TWISTER is not only kind of an absurd name for band but also very often used. This band was founded in 2000 and they offer now their very first sound medium with 5 tracks.
Girl fronted New Metal Spectacular … it’s not easy to explain this sort of music. Well, does there exists anything like progressive New Metal? At least you can concede New Metal-like basics which sound pretty lame as they use just one guitar. Over it there are lot of drum and bass beats laid, enriched with various sounds, almost some freaky Jazz stuff. Frontlady Ele sometimes sounds a bit like Skin, but not that impressively strong. She has also a gentle side. At all it seems TITTY TWISTER are fans of Skunk Anansie, there are a few influences to point out. These 5 tracks are well-structured but – as usual for these elements – it needs a little time to get used to it. For the first self-produced demo the sound is ok. Of course, with a good studio sound you could give a killing drive to the music.
I wouldn’t get so far and say these songs are callow but DeMo’n SiDe surely offers much more possibilities as the band tries to utilize right now. There is still much scope for developments, to improve and to polish their songs, sounds and textures. A good thing is TITTY TWISTER avoid to go over the top with these progressive elements. DeMo’n SiDe is kinda off-key but has interesting parts. Would be interesting how the band develops and sounds in 2 years for example. Interested people trustfully contact Kick Promotions.
