When you read this review you have to know right from the start, that Las mil y una noches is not the new TIERRA SANTA album, but a live double CD of the Spanish Power Metal band. Unfortunately there are only 5 songs out of the 2-CD’s on my promo CD, so all I can say is about a small part of the whole release.
The 5 songs which are on the promo CD, represent everything TIERRA SANTA stands for. A heavy mix from Iron Maiden – like music together with Spanish lyrics and a singer who is charismatic and has a clear and tight voice. The songs have a quite powerful sound for a live record, but that doesn’t stop the audience to come to the front from time to time and take over the job of singer Angel.
The 5 songs are very good in any case and if the rest of the songs are like that, than all TIERRA SANTA fans and everyone who wants to become one, can’t be very wrong with Las mil y una noches. Up The Irons!
