This German band now has its third full length album out, Von Leere Und Tod. Hailing from Bavaria, they are presenting us with another catchy pagan black metal record. Starting off after a short intro it goes straight into a enormously catchy Sterbend Herz. The singing alternates between clean vocals and black metal screams. The clean production and the solid guitar hooks make this album one of the better ones in this genre of recent years. And no bagpipes! It's definitely more black metal than pagan metal, but the influences are clearly there. This album will make you rock, and I can imagine that especially live some songs will go down very well with the audience. I've got to say, this is one of the catchiest albums I've heard recently - we shall see if it will stand the test of time. Best songs: Sterbend Herz, Vom Leben Gezeichnet, Tuerme Des Schattens and In Den Naechten Der Wiederkehr. Definitely worth a listen if you're into bands like Menhir or Helrunar.
