Can it be
true? Has the non-core Gothenburg style survived? In a small town
called Luleå, a band is still alive, bringing on the classics.
At The Gates, Gates Of Ishtar are here still not forgotten and
Dimension Zero not unknown. That’s so wonderful. Powerful,
wild and with a good punch, produced by Daniel Bergstrand (dr.
In Flames), these 9 songs are thundering out of the speakers and
directly get stuck into my ears. Just take the godlike Paradises
Into Deserts, damn axe. Up there these gents know how to
write good riffs. Typically for this kind of music: every now
and then a melody is dropped between the verses and make the album
interesting also for fans of more progressive music. Adding the
variable voice of Kai Jaakola makes the result almost perfect.
The trinity of leadership will not be cracked by the guys from
Northern Sweden, but they are definitely getting closer and closer.
Taking just the actual releases into account, I can see the throne
of Anders Frieden already in flames (ha, ha). This is at least
the old school, with fewer compromises to the new age. So, but
this must be enough. Go ahead and listen to the CD!
