For the curious souls here I may explain first what this strange name means. Well, Ichor is nothing less than an expression coming out from Greek mythology that means "blood of the goods". Wow, what a title! But there's more story behind this great piece of music than just an old name. Once upon a time, in a little town of northern Finland a band called Sentenced offered sad and melancholic music to the world. But their singer, Taneli Jarva decided to go own ways and left the band. Now he is back! And THE BLACK LEAGUE is his own masterpiece that remembers some the old Sentenced days, specially in songs like Deep Waters. But this isn't surprising, after all Taneli started to work on these songs even before his splitting with Sentenced. The songs are impressing in their variety, so you can also find some Rock'n Roll influences, like in One Colour Black and Ozymandias, a poem from P.B Shelley shows a Greek touch (fits to the album title). Of course, sad parts aren't missing here and on depressive days you shouldn't listen The Everlasting pt2, better the dynamic Blood Of The Gods (somehow the titletrack of the album). Just enter into THE BLACK LEAGUE, specially recommended for old Sentenced fans!
