Wow, SCHIZO still exist? If I'm not completely wrong, this is the first time since the late nineties. As far as I know Main Frame Collapse was their only full-length record (in addition to several demos, singles and EPs that got cult status in the underground) and was released in 1988, but only on LP. The re-release on CD in 2006 should be very welcome to those who weren't so lucky to grow up in the eighties. In every single second, Main Frame Collapse breathes the spirit of the first releases of Kreator, Sodom, Possessed and Venom, even when SCHIZO leave the Black Thrash path for taking small excurses into Death Metal and Grindcore (seems that they know Discharge). In a few songs, some passages don't exactly fit together perfectly; on the other hand there are smashers like Removal that should make old school thrashers absolutely happy. On 6 songs, legendary Necrodeath frontman Ingo violates the microphone. I think the target group of records like this is not exactly big, but everyone who is into the old school of extreme metal should definitely try to get a copy of Main Frame Collapse (if you don't have one yet). Any fuckin’ way!!!!
