SCARVE
from the nice France I would like to describe as a murderous bastard
between Fear Factory and Meshuggah. Just because on their new
long-player SCARVE combine the grooves of Fear
Factory with the crazy breaks of Meshuggah. Then they’ve
added a little Devin Townsend insanity. That’s SCARVE
and their new album The Undercurrent.
Dreamy melodies meet blastbeats. Melodic vocals meet deathgrowls.
The brutal, cold sound on The Undercurrent
take care of the rest. Eight songs full of insanity that leaves
a disturbed reviewer. Songs like the opener Endangered,
the following Imperceptible Armageddon or the really
strong The Pluntered are suit in a super modern gown
and are heavy and will make your ears bleed. Producer Daniel Bergstrand
has done a real good job. The same with vocalist Pierreck Valence,
who controls every vocal style you need as a vocalist of a modern
Death Metal band. Good album!
