You open up the envelope and a clown is grinning your way. Ha, ha, fuck you, I am thinking while putting the CD into my stereo. Why is it always me with choosing „fun-bands“? But what’s that? The riff is not bad and the next one neither. Suddenly my mood gets better as I listen to The World Will Be Taken, the first hit of this record. A nice mixture between Thrash from the old Annihilator school. A little bit of Overkill combined with Glam and True Metal bands and a bit of Pantera. Finally a bit of Hardcore and Punk and Rock’n’Roll-like solos and you have it. The voice sounds not very scratchy for Thrash Metal, even not with the sometimes appearing gang shouts. Strange, because singer Michael Imhof was a former member of Final Breath and should know it better. Maybe it is in some way combined with the weak production. The drums are too much in the foreground and the guitars are far from the heaviness, the introducing letter tries to describe. Nevertheless songs like Payback with it’s „duck riff“ and the good Instinct know how to please. Here and there are really good moments flashing up, so this CD never gets really boring. Unfortunately I also have to confess: It on the other hand never reaches the upper ranks. This is he reason why they only reach a score of 6 points. Entertaining but not striking.
