Cuckoo ... cuckoo ... comes out of my speakers. It might confuse the low-brow listener. But I guess the following infernal Death Metal massacre will even more confuse ;)
The Cuckoo Clocks Of Hell is an ace Death Metal chunk that makes fun as hell. The band pretty orientate itself to bands like Six Feet Under, Gorefest and other DM heroes, but jazz up the brew with a refreshing and entertaining injection of all kind of styles such as Metalcore, Thrash, Grind and Industrial-tones, without sounding overloaded at any time. Respect! Instead one will get a powerful and varied blend that is even sort of open-minded: driving, groovy riff monsters (The Hate) as well as blast parts (I Corpi Privi Vita). And in between one will even find clean singing (Living Reification – comes down really good; and Sleeping Reason – has a slightly Danzig touch) and freakin’ out passages (Inversion-Perversion) one might know from Mike Patton. Just great!
That inevitably brings up the question: from where the hell came this band crawling up? Well, adepts will already suspect something due to the band’s name, and yes: RESURRECTURIS are hailing from Italy and are already around for more than 10 years. After releasing loads of demos and MCD’s and a temporarily break-up RESURRECTURIS is back and full of themselves with their sophomore The Cuckoo Clocks Of Hell. Well-done mates! Since this album already has seen many days of light I just hope the gents are hard at work on a follow-up that at least can reach the same level of entertainment! Cuckoo ... cuckoo ...
