Whoops! What’s
that? Just dropped in, this CD is already over! 10 minutes these
five guys need for 8 tracks, whereas the running time ranges between
7 seconds (7th Target) and 2:15 maximum (Man Is The
Harvest). And I expected a full-time record (no info sheet)…
In this short
time fast and harsh yet groovy (American) death metal with a grinding
edge gets offered, displayed in raving blast parts. It’s
just too bad that such fare is well-known for years from bands
such as Napalm Death or Terrorizer (in the beginning). So, for
a first sign of life I would have liked to get something more
inventive from this Swedish powerhouse, especially, since there
are skilled and experienced musicians at work (former Unmoored
and Carnal Forge members).
So much the worse is that Fallen Man Collection
also cannot offer much in quantitative aspects. I not even would
handle this one as an EP with a good conscience, although the
song material is pleasing.
Ergo: this
record is nice but everything than essential. As for me, just
a 6.5 rating. But I guess, with the first full-length these guys
will wind up other sites, especially since the revolving door
in QUEST OF AIDANCE turns busily…
