What fantastic
idea to split the songs in numerous pieces! This way may prevent
the danger of an illegal web upload, but unfortunately spoils
the promo owner’s delight because of some disturbing breaks.
Leaving this aside, powerful and mostly real fast Speed Metal
remains. The voice is quite convenient and avoids highest pitches.
For my taste it is less expressive and stout-hearted. PARADOX
glance with a versed drummer in their line-up named Roland Jahoda.
He does not slip up using just one measure in dull way. Luckily
the band intersperses borne melodies and composes adeptly to build
up a contrasting effect.
In all Electrify does not offer an above average
amount of suspenseful songs and enthralling chords. Of course
the music is played flawlessly and inheres a lot of pressure,
but the refrains do not grab me by the scruff of my neck and I
oftentimes wait for guitar attacks to raise my eyebrows or fists
with a loud “yes!” to the sky…however this is
the cause during the riffs and cheeping riffs of Infected,
the following Disconnected or the semi ballad Cyberspace
Romance. The concluding title track Electrify also
is among the songs to mention positively. In most cases the refrains
lack of catchiness so that I cannot speak of ear candies in the
end.
After close listening of Electrify I am far away
from being electrified. The vocal lines must be more haunting,
the compositions more thrilling next time – and I would
not complain about some surprises. Electrify just
dabbles along or passes me by more or less emotionlessly in my
opinion. What a pity!
