Three years ago OMNIUM GATHERUM have been forced as the new star in the Melodic Death Metal sky. The German label Nuclear Blast released with Spirits And August Light/Steal The Light one re-release and with Years In Waste one regular album. But the sales don’t seem to be good enough, because the newest output Stuck Here On Snakes Way will be released by the British label Candlelight Records. And with this release the Scandinavians offer just ordinary plain cooking as well. Ok, the production is well done, but the twelve songs run into one year and leave through the other one. To sad, just because especially the vocals are pretty cool. I mean, songs like Bastard-O or The Third Flame are not really bad. But every time the guitars built a big wall there the shallow keyboard will destroy everything which have been heavy before. To keep it short: for fans of Melodic Death Metal who need everything of that kind of Metal on the market Stuck Here On Snakes Way could be a good investment. The rest of you guys should check it out before you buy it!
