NECROTORTURE’s main proposition might have been the aim to eclipse every splatter album of the world. The cover presents a small (but broken) piece of someone’s ideal world while partying his birthday. Strange… yet inviting to a closer view ;-) Continuing by reading the track titles: the splatter brightly goes on with verbal effusions like Anal Torture, Re-Exploring Ways Of Flesh, Pleasures Of The Morribund and Death Feast. It’s almost clear that every track is introduced by a radio play or a film sequence which are ‘R18’, ‘NC-17’ or ‘no risk of criminality liability’. To tatter the lyrics makes no sense to me – I’m sure that the godfather of Horror and Splatter Lucio Fulci had his dead finger in the pie :) Instead of this I prefer to resolve the Italian musical excess! Blood Feast goes wholeheartedly Gore-Grind-Death the whole hog. NECROTORTURE bang jolly, grind and practice extreme Death Metal in a quite well manner. Although the song structures aren’t technically matured enough and build up in an easy way – they will impale the hearts of everyone that believes in acts like Disgorge, Devourment or Suffocation. Debatable are the harmonizer on the vocals. These are partly freaky and haven’t nothing in common with the real voice dubbing. They rather remind me of Muppet Show’s Beaker who gurgled too much of a gore-soup. These parts are out of place in the fifth song - Napalm Death’s Scum grenade. A bonus tack (on a MCD!) is given with the placate Cicala Grind, a grinder that makes Blood Feast to a successful debut at last.
