I found this CD in a Swedish music store, but I didn't know yet what I should expect here, because at this time I just knew a few mp3s of this band. But the really airy and evil kind of the four congenial Swedish guys made me testing their sixth full-length album which was released in the year 2000. I was not really surprised when I realized, that those extremely evil and typical Swedish riffs inspired me completely, because the few mp3 files I already had on my PC made me rather confident, that I can't actually do anything wrong with buying this CD. I also immediately liked the cover-artwork of Bloodhymns. But here I have to mention, that NECROPHOBIC used a pentagram for the cover already the fourth time! But apart from that, this CD surely has damn much more to offer. Bloodhymns is namely again the kind of a CD on which every following song beats the last one. Already the first song called Taste Of Black kills with such power that you don't dare to believe, that it could get even better. But the killing goes on and on! Yeah! Bloodhymns is a really brutal and uncompromising but there is a song which makes everything even more varied. I'm speaking about the fifth track called Mourningsoul, which starts with a fucking great acoustic guitar intro. Then the song continues with those usual evil melodies and in the middle there's another great acoustic guitar part. So this great song end and this great CD is completed by a wonderful instrumental called Among The Storm.

Friends of Swedish Black/Death Metal buy this CD if you don't have it yet and enter the dark world of NECROPHOBIC!
