Fresh blood
from the Swedish stronghold of Death Metal: Gothenburg. But MIN[O]RA
does not have anything to do with Death Metal. Not at all! Instead
the deliver on their debut called Square One
modern American metal in the vein of Korn, Puddle Of Mudd and
companies. Everything is well-done wrapped into a typical Swedish
way, you know, with a rougher edge. Altogether the guys range
musically in midtempo fields, adding a more brutal and beamy note.
Singing is mostly clean, bestowing a melancholic, straight and
at the same time even commercial touch to Square One,
but never losing its amount of aggression. Production is clean
and powerful, all instruments stands equally. MIN[O]RA
offers the perfect music for the American market and should establish
themselves very fast – as long as the get an international
deal on time to jump on the same bandwagon. But I do not really
worry, Square One already shows a big
amount of potential. Thumbs up!!!
