What a thunderbolt!
I really didn't expect something like that. The description "Extreme
Metal" fits perfectly to this kind of music, MINDGRINDER
play. Because MINDGRINDER aren't just brutal
... no, they play with such an insane power, which blasts your
brain out of your head. There're often really catchy parts and
also rather long-lasting groovy moments! Everything's included
in this CD.
Especially the mixture between mainly Death Metal elements and
partly Black Metal influences make to hole thing even more extreme!
And also the double-bass attacks improve everything, because they're
that extreme, that you sometimes even forget the guitars, to just
listen to the drums - and that's my first point of criticism here,
because the guitars partly disappear, because of the drums, which
stand too much in the foreground. But from time to time you get
used to it and you'll learn to enjoy listening to the CD. Apart
from that the songs sometimes sound too similar. But MINDGRINDER
released an album, which is full of aggression, brutality and
sickness. I recommend MindTech to everyone, who likes it sick
and extreme and who wants to groove a little bit. MINDGRINDER
made a good album, which isn't that varied, but very independent
and fucking brutal!
