A typical
review for this band would probably start with something like:
The dark tower on the border of Mordor, ruled by the Nazguls,
crowded by Orcs etc. This catches the atmosphere the band MINAS
MORGUL tries to build up on their third album Aus Blut
gemacht pretty well. Just like one imagines the scene
(not in the movies, in the book while reading) when the dark king
leads his troops out of the big gate towards Minas Tirith. Dark,
majestic, thundering and marching. Almost like that the music
of our 5 Orc-assistants comes out of the stereo. Pretty bass-driven,
thundering, riffs, but also sometimes faster and still pounding.
Combined with the battle-cries of vocalist Rico one can feel shifted
to the Lord Of The Rings. But not on the side that is usually
focused. Here the dark side plays the major role. This might be
the reason why the lyrics are very, maybe even too misanthropic.
But imagine being an Orc, they just hate men. A little sour taste
the lyrics leave behind, because they drift into a kind of avant-garde.
But not like many other bands from this genre disappear in a kind
of blablabla, here this problem is mostly well solved. Maybe this
comes to my mind, because the lyrics are in the German language.
Only one question comes to mind: why Eisenfaust is not
consequently translated. The songwriter, namely L. Kilmister,
would have been very amused about it I guess. But in any case
a nice idea. Meanwhile I can recommend to the new Orc-apprentices
the songs Meer Aus Blut Und Stahl and Aus Blut Gemacht.
We meet us again on the fields of Pelenor.
