The
Spiritual Nation Born is divided into ten sections, each
having a mystic name to describe it. It has everything one wants
from a metal DVD; band profiles, interview with the founder of
HERMH, video-clips, behind the scenes and a full discography
and biography chapters.
The DVD starts
off with the Deviantoprofilo, which obviously is the band
members’ profile. Nothing much here, but it’s nice
to get acquainted with the band members and see their metal activity
in HERMH and in other bands.
Archivodevilo
is the following chapter that contains archives of the band and
it’s followed by Vampirodevianto, a ten minute interview
with Bart, the fonder of the band. The interview is done really
nicely, showing the birth place of HERMH and archives from
the bands’ tours in the 90’s. The interview is in
Polish with English subtitles. One can see some great Polish country
side scenery and some really underground gigs. The only downside
of this is, that there’s an interview in Russian (or I think
it’s Russian) where there are absolutely no subtitles, so
it’s damn hard to guess what they are talking about.
The following chapters, Videovampiro and Gallerographio
are collections of HERMH video clips and photographs. Having
these on the DVD one can also see the visual evolution of the
band.
The fun part
of this DVD is definitely the three episodes behind the scenes.
They are made during three tours and contain the hilarious adventures
of the bands on the tours. If I were to pick the funniest and
most exciting of them, it would be the Demigod tour together with
Behemoth. There are some funny adventures and happenings there
so I wouldn't miss that out.
The
Spiritual Nation Born ends with Discodestilatio
and Devilographio which is the discography and biography
of the band.
Overall is
a nice watch, very dense material that provides everything about
the band. It’s filled with a lot of funny videos behind
the scenes, interesting history of HERMH and some Symphonic
Black Metal under Polish signature that just blows away. This
is one of this DVD-s that you can watch over and over again. It’s
definitely worth having.
