HELLYEAH present their new work in an unbelievable
cool and airy style, for a bigger part the songs are pushed forward
by irresistible grooves. On top of the cake, the guys offer a
lot of catchy refrains.
All fans of Pantera could be enthused while enjoying Band
Of Brothers, because the band also shows a more empathetic
side apart from all aggressiveness. The musicians try a different
and more filigree approach with the ballad-like track Between
You And Nowhere and succeed at all amounts. This composition
comes across in really heat-warming manner and touches the listener
without doubt.
For a bigger part, stomping and quite nice rolling Thrash Metal
dominates and cares for a lot of fun while teetering with or moshing
around. Interim, the musicians speed up and care for an additional
touch of dynamics during Rage/Burn.
It’s a rockin’ and rollin’ all the time, just
loosened up by felicitous breathers, but in all, HELLYEAH
seem to be limited concerning measure changes and variation. After
the well-done opening triple, the songs’ structures get
common, despite the dry-as-a-bone tracks care for slight variation
concerning the vocals: in addition to aggressive barking, some
clear and emotional vocal parts come into operation.
Unfortunately, Band Of Brothers lacks of certain
surprising turns, but the album definitely bursts of waltzing
catchiness and will appeal to all likers of direct, simple and
heavy grooving songs.
