There comes a time in any music journalist span when one comes across a musical outfit that just raises ones ears to a melodious allure. For such as is for Italy’s own GOTHIC strike out with Grim, their latest material to date that judges the listener to intrigue based on listening fact this statement is true. Not following any set of musical direction or view of media opinion GOTHIC expresses originality and lyrical substance. Songs can be fitting within the realm of electronica based on the elements that are composed within the musical sequences that blend dark imagery and poetry.

Techno trance vibe feel to an eerie take with tracks of Forlorn and Down In Your Shrine are the hitting ones that strike listening interest. GOTHIC’s musical style is more like symbolic poetry with art blended in motion for Grim contrasts individual thought and creativity. Album production has the band showing their haunting highlights bringing light into this darkness so grim. More can be said about this grimly essence, but myself personally this album raises some serious musical interest. Downfall about GOTHIC is that they have remained elusive over ten years. Ok boys now it is time to stir some commotion and get your name heard!

Highlight:
Video Forlorn captures imagery of art and poetry mixed with dark tale telling that is felt throughout this video. Good quality concept.
