Being a fan of this fab 4 since I can remember I had to take the time to really think what I was going to say for the latest effort of GIRLSCHOOL’s Believe. With more than over 5 albums under their belt these British gals know how to do it again in style with an album packed with pure rock n’ roll punch. From various all girl groups to date GIRLSCHOOL have surpassed them all as far as talent, originality and gusto has to offer and such patience with endurance to stay on top, the group paved the way for many women musicians to surface. GIRLSCHOOL’s prior releases, let me take for example here, Love At First Bite was one to push the limits on guitar elemental structure and overall rhythmic cadence, for me this was the album that really took form into a solid musical being of its own.

Believe as a whole shows the growth of musicianship as well as life based situations in general for which one can so easily hear with the newer material. Kim McAuliffe’s guitar harmonies blend with easy to Denise Dufort’s unforced beats that compliment Jackie Chambers’s melodic guitar style bringing in the killer rhythmic bass lines of Enid Williams creating a force so powerful, yet unstoppable. From prior releases the group has put out they illustrate an unmarked ability that only these women know how to do and do it well. From a first listening observation of Come On Up to Hold On Tight thru the rest of the CD plus the following 2 bonus tracks, GIRLSCHOOL dishes up the best novel metal n’ roll this side of the Mississippi. Confident with musical prowess touched with finale finesse GIRLSCHOOL remains timeless & infinite….with nothing to loose. Way to go girls…cheers ya lot \m/!
