After the very successful album release Windzeit, Jena’s own and FORSETI mastermind Andreas Ritter again fulfilled the expectations of his fans completely and far beyond. And again a lot of prominent musicians did partake in the recording of Erde, , as it was done on Windzeit with Douglas Pierce from Death In June. This time Ian Read from Fire & Ice and Kim Larsen from :Of The Wand And The Moon: participated among others. Especially Ian Read and his striking voice should be mentioned, who performed two songs on this album.
The result of this cooperation are 11, sometimes up-tempo but at the same time very beautiful melancholic songs in German language, which have been recorded with various acoustic instruments like guitar, flute, cello, accordion and drums. The arrangement of the instruments is very thoughtful and, in combination with the very good production, carries the audience away and transfers them from home to a cosy campfire.
With this album FORSETI should finally have made it to the top of the German speaking Neofolk and lovers of handmade acoustic music. Those, who did not care about Neofolk before, should give this album a try.
