This CD is bad. Not only bad, but almost a real impertinence, making it almost impossible to put down the right words to describe it. Starting with the trappings that make me think of a cheap computer-game of 15 years ago, over to primitive melodies and a horrid singing, this CD seems to contain everything to make an album really lousy. Basically I even ante up patience for weak releases in order to nevertheless write a serious review but in case of FLESH DIVINE I can only say “What the hell is this meant to be?”. Lead by “Brother Justice”, who already fails in performing his grunts in a good way, over to “Necrophol”, who tries to boast of his boring heavy-metal-riffs, the four French guys roister themselves through 13 songs of which the half only consists of sound-collages which I guess are supposed to be “atmospheric goodies”, while the regular material can be described as heavy metal with death-growls. As if this was not enough, Justice is taking use of octavizer-effects frequently who remind me of Thunderdome Rave-CDs and sound nothing but goofy here. To be honest I seldomly got a more useless CD than Necropolis. This one’s actually not even worth reviewing it.
So how did it eventually come up with 1 point in my rating then? Well, with My Story FLESH DIVINE indeed managed to put a catchy tune with acceptable female vocals onto their album, which reminds me almost of these beautiful French pop-songs. It’s paradox somehow, I know. I almost don’t believe it myself ;)
