FEUERSCHWANZ is a German band for German fans only. Their page on MySpace and their official website are in German, and since my knowledge of the German language has become basic over the years, there isn't much I can tell you about the band without making too many mistakes. It doesn't either help that the font the band used for their biography is rather medieval locking. By the time you have figured out that the R really isn't the N, you have developed a splitting headache.
I can tell you that FEUERSCHWANZ was formed in May 2004 after frontman Peter Henrici played in bands like Merlon and Subway To Sally. In November 2005 the band released their first album Prima Nocte and started to play live throughout Germany.
Their music is described as Medieval Folk so the songs are about the good life of Knights, peasants and other medieval characters.

Over the years FEUERSCHWANZ have gathered many fans and when listening to their songs I can totally understand why the band is so loved. The musicians are just brilliant in handling their medieval instruments. It is really a shame that I cannot understand everything they sing about but especially during the little acts called Zwischenspotzzz you truly get the sense that these guys aren't just musicians: they are entertainers providing a show with songs and laughter.
According to their concert list they will be very busy with performing at Medieval Festivals and Spring Markets, and those are exactly the locations where you should see and listen to FEUERSCHWANZ. Because no matter how good they are as musicians and entertainers, their Medieval Folk is too much of a gimmick for serious rock and metal fans.
