Machinecore. I think that's new. I've never heard that kind of description before.
I've been expecting a Fear Factory- like sound, cold, sterile, triggered and hard as fuck. And I felt born out by the cover-artwork.
Well, at least the voice of singer and guitarist Henric Steuernagel sometimes sounds similar to the one of Burton C. Bell.
Here reigns a mixture of modern (thrash)metal, hardcore and industrial elements. Another point of interest is the fact that ESCALATION UNIT CHAOS ENGINE have a real percussionist in the band, but that unfortunately can't be heard due to a not so satisfying sound on The Worlds Last Days.
The hidden track (argh!!!) consist of some 'smoking hookah'- sounds, followed by a last, short song.... at least I thought is was the last.. after some more minutes of silence a really cool cover of this Mad World- pop song appears, really a cool idea.
