After a long time, there is finally again a band who received after a very good demo a deal with a record label afterwards. DOOMSTONE’s Demo Obsidian was such a great work and therefore it is quite logic that they have now a deal with SOD Records to release their debut CD Disharmonic with them.
On the new “complete” CD DOOMSTONE are showing us their mixture of Death and Thrash Metal, which convinces on the one hand through a lot of different parts which are keeping the CD interesting and on the other hand through a tight play, which really boosts the air out of the listeners.
What they did really well was the mixture of Death and Thrash Metal, since there is no higher judging of one of the two styles but all two are treated same. So you have the typical galloping Thrash Metal riffing as well as the full in your face Death Metal.
Otherwise DOOMSTONE are characterized by a lot of technical stuff, breaks and different parts they are using in their songs. But they managed it to get everything under one hat. The songs are loosing drive because of that, but they even sound a lot heavier to me.
If there are Death / Thrash Fans who are willing to support young bands (and not only the stars from yesterday) will have a lot of fun with DOOMSTONE.
